Libraries represent the interaction of knowledge and people, serving as an indispensable pillar in history. A library allows individuals to explore tools, technology, and literature across its platform. Charged with proposing a design for a library in Bullitt County my classmate Lauren and I decided to present a building that serves not only as a library in the traditional sense,  but as a way to introduce tools, technology, and art to the community. 

Like a book with a sleek cover, our library sports a simple steel structure separate from the interior mezzanine. Its facade is adorned with a perforated screen that represents the footprint of the shelving within the building. Like a story, the mezzanine weaves throughout the library allowing people to wander in and out exploring the rows of books at their own leisure.
